Trail-Worthy Warranty
Thank You for Choosing Trail Prepared!
At Trail Prepared, we don’t sell shelf queens. When you hit the trail, you carry tools designed to handle dirt, sweat, weather, and the unexpected. We build, test, and vet our hardware for the field—not just the showroom.
We stand behind our gear with our Trail-Worthy One-Year Limited Warranty. If our craftsmanship or materials fail under normal operating conditions, we will make it right.
(Need to return an unused item or swap a size within 30 days? Visit our Returns & Exchanges Policy.)
1. Warranty Coverage (The 1-Year Guarantee)
We warrant to the original purchaser that Trail Prepared hardware and equipment will remain free from defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of original purchase from our store.
If a covered manufacturing defect arises during the warranty period, we will, at our operational discretion:
Repair the item using factory components at no cost to you.
Replace the item with a new or functionally equivalent product.
Issue Store Credit or a Refund for the full purchase price if the product is discontinued or out of stock.
2. What Is Covered vs. What Is Not
Our gear is built for hard use, but no tool survives outright neglect or abuse.
What Is Covered:
Seam separations, stitching failures, or bonding defects under intended carry loads.
Premature metal fatigue, structural latch/hardware failures, or casting voids under normal use.
Manufacturing flaws in buckles, grommets, cordage cores, or attachment points out of the box.
Components that arrive broken, defective, or fail due to faulty workmanship.
What Is Excluded:
Normal Wear & Tear: Patinas, trail dust, scuffs, scratches, anodization fading, or gradual breakdown of fabrics from extended UV exposure and heavy field use.
Gear Abuse & Misuse: Using tools outside their intended design parameters (e.g., batoning a folding knife, using non-rated hardware for life-support climbing, or improper storage of wet shelters).
Consumable Goods: Items designed to be depleted through use, including coffee, matches, tinder, chemical purifiers, batteries, etc.
Unauthorized Modifications: Third-party alterations, home-brewed modifications, or unauthorized repairs.
Loss & Theft: Lost, misplaced, or stolen equipment.
Secondhand Gear: This warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
3. Freight & Shipping Coverage
Covered Claims: If a defect is confirmed by our inspection team, Trail Prepared covers 100% of the return and replacement shipping costs within the United States.
No Hidden Fees: We do not assess diagnostic, handling, or processing fees on valid warranty claims.
4. Standard Operating Procedure (How to File a Claim)
